First of all, there are many insects in New Zealand. Among of all insects, I focus on “Sandfly”. Anyway, people generally call the insect “Sandfly”. To tell the truth, the name is officially “Blackfly”. There are 13 species in New Zealand, two of which bite humans. The others prefer biting such as penguins, bats, and seals. They locate their prey through sight and smell and it is only female “Sandfly” bites. They need blood to produce their eggs. So, they use their jaws to stab the skin a pool of blood is created, this is lapped up with their tongue. Their saliva contain an anticoagulant that causes the irritation to our skin. So, it sounds like mosquitoes.

Now, I’ll introduce some simple things we can do to avoid the tiny itchy bites.
1.Cover your skin 2.Always wear a hat 3.Cover yourself in “Botanica”, “Botanica” means this is the best “Sandfly” repellent as it has natural ingredients and does not contain the Deet chemical. 4.Put “Botanica” on your hat 5.Take your “vitamin B” 　6.Eat Marmite or Vegemite 7.Avoid wearing dark colors Lastly, what was worse, there are “Sandfly” in Japan too. The insect’s name is “Buyu” in Japanese. So, please take care.

UenoTenjin Autumn Festival

This Autumn Festival will be held from October 23rd until 25th in Igaueno in Mie Prefecture, the place where I was born. Incidentally, Igaueno is you know, known to a town of Iga Ryu ninja. There is an Iga-Ryu Ninja Museum too. This festival has a tradition of four hundred years and I heard this autumn festival gathers many tourists for three straight days every year.

The content of this festival is carrying a solemn portable shrine and marching like a picture scroll, several hundred ogres process by the solemn portable shrine, these ogres have different faces and while people are playing the beautiful festival music, the nine brilliant Danjiriparade Ueno castle town. It seems most of ogres’masks, curtains and metal fittings of Danjiri are specified for the cultural asset in Prefecture and City. They are what is called "Country important specification and formless folk cultural asset". Among all these contents, several hundred ogres' procession is the best. And "Tottering Ogres" is the best in particular. Children fear this "Tottering Ogres" more than any other ogres because this ogres act violently and turn to a full route by the tottering step, go near some small children who is picked up by parent and make the children cry.

Hamunaptra

Watching movies is one of my hobby. Among all movies I have ever watched, my favorite movie is The Mummy (Japanese version of The Mummy is Hamunaptra). I’d like to give an explanation about this movie. The Mummy is a 1999 American adventure movie written and directed by Stephen Sommers. The reason why British title is The Mummy is because it is a loose remake of the 1932 movie of the same title. Originally intended to be part of a low-budget horror series, this movie was eventually turned into a blockbuster adventure movie.

Character
The mainly characters is Brendan Fraser who plays the part of Rick O’ Connell, Rachael Weisz who plays the part of Evelyn Carnahan, John Hannah who plays the part of Jonathan Carnahan, Arnold Vosloo who plays the part of High Priest Imhotep, Patricia Velasquez who plays the part of Anck-su-namun .

The plot of this movie
The movie begins in Egypt, circa 1290 BC. High Priest Imhotep is having an affair with Anck-su-namun, the mistress of Pharaoh SetiⅠ. When the Pharaoh saw through this, Imhotep and Anck-su-namun murder the monarch. Anck-su-namun then kills herself, intending for Imhotep to resurrect her. After Anck-su-namun’s burial, Imhotep breaks into her crypt and steals her corpse. He and his priests flee across the desert to Hamunaptra, the city of the dead, where they begin the resurrection ceremony. However, they are caught by Seti’s guards before the ritual can be completed, and Anck-su-namun’s soul is sent back to the Underworld. As punishment for their sacrilege, Imhotep’s priests are mummified alive, and Imhotep himself is forced to endure the course of Hom Dai: his tongue is cut out, and buried alive, wrapped like a mummy, along with a swarm of flesh-eating scarabs. The horror of the ritual is that it grants eternal life, forcing him to endure the agony of his wounds foe all time. He is buried under high security, sealed away in a sarcophagus below a statue of the Egyptian god Anubis, and kept under strict surveillance by the Medjai, descendants of Seti’s palace guards. If Imhotep were ever to be released, the powers that made him immortal would allow him to unleash a wave of destruction and death upon the Earth. 3000 years later in 1923, Rick is serving as a captain in a unit of the French Foreign Legion, which travels to Hamunaptra in search of the treasure rumored to be there. But they are attacked by Arab. Three years later, Cairo librarian and aspiring Egyptologist, Evelyn Carnahan is presented with an intricate box and map by her bumbling brother Jonathan, who says he found it in Thebes. After observing the map leads to Hamunaptra, Jonathan reveals he actually stole it from Rick, who is currently in prison. After they contact him, they set out for Hamnaptra. Evelyn found a mystery sarcophagus, she takes the Book of the Dead, and reads a page aloud, accidently awakening Imhotep.

Summer vacation

Summer vacation

I had a really enjoyable summer vacation. There are two reasons. At first, about part-time job. I did a part-time job at a fish shop in summer vacation. There is the shop in my hometown. My hometown is a port town and a fishing town, so there are many fish shops, ships and many fishermen catch fishes.

The contents of my job is gutting fishes, tearing many fishes’ heads, cleaning each of fishes’ blood to process, washing many many bamboo baskets, packing styrene foam with many fishes to ship them, drying many fishes in the sun and so on. What is particularly hard work was washing many bamboo baskets… The reason why I washed the bamboo baskets using water pistol. The begging of the work, I thought this work was very very interesting, but as I did the work, the strength of my grip was gone. Finally, they say that I washed a total of five hundreds bamboo baskets!! When I heard the word, I was astounded. I got six hundreds and eighty yen an hour for my part-time job and working hours of this work start at 8:30 am, finish at 4:30 pm. What is the happiest is my take-home pay increased, the pay went up from 32000 yen to 35000 yen. I had to come back to Aichi, so, the final day, the shopkeeper said "There will be "Minato Ichi'' in December until the end of the month, so I want you to help again." So, I will do this job again to help him.

Secondly, about my niece. I finished NUFS' tests and returned home. I returned there with eager anticipation, because I haven't seen my niece since Golden Week. My niece’s birthday is July 17th, the baby almost have been 1 year old. When I returned home, the baby cried. I was sad but happy because I did not my niece after long time. As the baby played with a toy, the baby has started crawling and getting closer to me. I bought a chair for my niece. And, when I had to come back to Aichi, the baby waved me good-bye. So, I think I’ll stick it out! Finally, I could make a profit and see my niece. Considering the circumstances, I think I had a really enjoyable summer vacation.

Prevention

I researched Taurine. Have you ever heard the word"Taurine"? Fishes(octopus and squid in particular) contain it. Taurine mainly has four effect.

1.Decreasing cholesterol...So it prevents hardening of the arteries.

2.Keeping our blood pressure normal...So it prevents high/low blood pressure.

3.Hard to make gallsstones...So it prevents cholelithiasis.

4.Regaining our eyesight...So it prevents us to wear glasses.

There is Taurine in the flesh of a fish, so we should eat fishes more and more.


　

Carbonated Drink

I researched the Carbonated Drinks(Fanta in particular)and their bad influence. Fanta is one of them. Do you know the word "the Carbonated Drink"? Japanese say "Tansan Inryou". Fanta was manufactured at a German factory. At that time, the Germans called Fanta "Shubetui" and there are remains of "shubetui" in these days. The name "Fanta" was coined during an employee contest to name the new beverage. A plant manager told them to let their Fantasie (German for"imagination") function. In Japan, it was sold in 1958.

Bad Influence

In these days, many people drink the Carbonated Drinks all over the world.I don't recommend "the Carbonated Drinks" as a healthy drink. Because most of soft drinks containing them includes sugar. Because of eating sugar too much, people have a symptom of increasing the blood sugar level. Researchers call it "PET bottle syndrome". And what is even worse, sugar causes a cavity in a tooth, overweight and dissolving bones. For the reasons stated above, I don't recommend "the Carbonated Drinks". We carelessly drink "the Carbonated Drinks", but don't worry!! Because Coca-Cola Company recently has developed "Fanta Zero Lemon", there is no calorie and no sugar.

Example of Exercise

I researched a few information on swimming, and I get useful information. Swimming is one of typical examples of exercise getting oxygen, it consumes calories and burns fat. I will give a example of swimming's benefit. As I researched swimming, I have ever heard the word"walking in a swimming pool", but I didn't know beans about it. I never dreamed that it's linked to a good enough exercise. Just walk in a swimming pool...

Firstly, we usually live a life, and we hardly feel our own weight. In addition to this, we stand our own weight. But walk or run for hours and we suffer from lower-back pain and wobbling of our knees. But "Walking in a swimming pool"(=Aqua fitness) is different from them. In case of knee-deep, cut of thirty percent of weight, case of back-deep, cut of fifty percent of weight, case of chest-deep, cut of seventy percent of weight, and case of the whole body-deep, cut of one hundred percent of weight, so we disembarrasses ourselves of a burden, and we can consume calories three times as high as we walk on the land.

They say "Walking in a swimming pool" has no injury and no trouble so it is safer for pregnant women, little children, person of advanced age and handicapped person than any other exercise. Secondly, I'll show you details about "Walking in a swimming pool". Lastly, I'll show you benefit about it. Come on, let's go swimming or walk in a swimming pool!!

When we watch interesting, amusing movie etc . we're laughed by them. I think that laughter makes people be happy. Laughter seems to make endorphin, one of painkiller. Endorphin has action 6.5 times as large as morphine. Moreover, endorphin has the effectiveness of elevating feelings, relaxing your muscles, increasing your blood flow, and makes everyone feel happiness. As a result, it cures disease, can kill cells of cancer. So I think that laughter is used in hospital. For example Patch Adams, based on a true story, and uses it. According to the modern study, there are much evidence to prove this thing. I take a case of it. In a hospital, a patient had only a short time (about a few years) to live, but a doctor used a treatment of laughing, then the patient lived more than ten years. This story is a true. For the reasons stated above, I think that everyone should laugh. Now then, let's laugh “Ha ha ha・・・”. ＼（＾∀＾*）
